HISTORY

Kerikeri has a rich and diverse history.

The Stone Store is New Zealand's oldest building. Rewa's Village will take you back to a time before European settlement and a visit to the Kerikeri Mission Station and Pete's Pioneers Transport Museum are a must for both the history and motoring buffs!

FOOD & WINE

Famous for its successful horticulture, niche and artisan foods, fabulous chocolates, boutique vineyards.

Foodies from across the globe come to stock up on an fresh local goodies at the Packhouse Farmer's Market every Sunday morning.

Explore the local Vineyard Trail and explore some of the award winning wineries - including Cottle Hill, Marsden Estate and Ake Ake and taste some of their fabulous wines.

 ART, CRAFTS & CULTURE

There are arts and crafts shops, displays and events all across KeriKeri - including at the Farmer's Market. It's  a great place to find unique gifts made here by a wide variety of artists and crafts people.

If you need a bigger hit of culture - why not explore the Kerikeri Art & Craft Trail or visit the Arts & Performance venue The Turner Centre.

PARKS, GARDENS & WALKS

Kerikeri has two main  'Gardens of National Significance': Palmco and Wharepuke Gardens - both beautiful places to enjoy a walk and perhaps learn about and discover some Far North plants you may not have seen before.

Another great trail, being slightly more challenging is a 90min round trip bush walk up the river to the renowned and spectacular Rainbow Falls.
